Chateau de Saint Aubin Armagnac dates back to 1236 and is located in Réans, the heart of the best Armagnac district, Bas-Armagnac. The “Reserve de Chateau” is made from 100% Ugni Blanc exclusively grown in the Bas-Armagnac region. The age profile of blending the Reserve du Chateau is made up of cask dating 1962, 1968, 1977, and 1978, producing weighted average blends over 22 years. Unlike most Armagnac producers who age their spirits in larger 400-liter, used barrels, the Reserve du Chateau is aged in new 265 liter Limousin oak, cognac style barrels, the same that are used in Kelt VSOP and XO Cognac. A truly superb armagnac, superior in both taste and quality.
